Rackwell makes open-wire growing racks for mushroom rooms, microgreen farms and tissue culture labs, in stainless steel and mild steel. Standard racks are 54 x 24 inches, and custom sizes are made on request. The open-wire shelf lets air, light and water pass through to every tray, and it can be washed down easily.

Strong, Precision-Built Construction

Every growing rack is built in our Kanpur factory to carry full trays day after day in humid grow rooms.

Construction details include:

✓ Pipe: 25 mm outer diameter, 1.2 mm thick

✓ Wire: 5, 4 and 3 mm in different parts of the shelf (SS 304); 4.8 or 5.5 mm and 3.2 mm (SS 201)

✓ Shelf height adjustable every 1 inch

✓ 25 mm wire spacing, 1.5 mm corner collars, ABS plastic sleeves and levelling feet

✓ Collapsible design with no nuts and bolts

✓ Electro polished finish (stainless steel)

✓ Load per shelf: 70 kg to 150 kg, uniformly distributed

Stainless Steel or Mild Steel for Your Grow Room

Grow rooms are humid and watered often. Stainless steel (we recommend SS 304) lasts longer and cleans easily, which helps where hygiene matters. Mild steel racks cost less and suit dry spaces or short-term set-ups, but they may rust faster in wet rooms unless well coated.

They arrive knocked down and can be assembled by your team without tools. We share an installation video and give video call support.

Each shelf takes 70 to 150 kg of uniformly distributed load, depending on size and grade. Spread the load evenly and tell us your tray weight so we can suggest wire and pipe sizes.
